Hey peers!     For the school I chose to see teacher information, I chose my old high school. Monarch High School provides teacher names, contact information, and website. On the teacher websites, it provides information on their syllabus and assignments etc. Any parent or student can access this information by simply going on to their website. However, there are many things that students or parents would not be able to see like student grades and rankings or maybe certain assignments from grade book material.  https://www.browardschools.com/monarch Here is a link of one of the teacher's website :  https://geographymhs.wordpress.com/     How I envision myself in the future using technology would be me instructing my students with course videos on my website. I assume that teaching will be a lot more of an online technology thing in the future with in-person being optional. Ideally, I would like to teach in person with hopefully more advanced technolog...

Hey Peers!      Diigo seems to be a very useful learning tool with the option to highlight and discuss with peers. However, the time that I've been Diigo, it has deleted my account. I've tried multiple times to verify my account before I could recreate it again. This might have been a minor issue but it got me frustrated for a bit. Diigo itself is a good learning platform for teachers and peers to interact with each other though. I find the sticky note and highlight features very useful for the next time I have to write a paper or just want to learn!     The blogging process is nothing special in my eyes. I find the need to write about yourself seems narcissistic and pretentious in a sense, but if it appeals to others then I'm not judging on that. I do understand the need to write especially or just share things in a non-personal way. I'd rather write in a journal with my thoughts on things than anonymously post them, but I certainly like the idea to it. In shor...

Hello Everyone!   Twitter has broadened my perspective on being caught up with the news. I use to think boring online articles or the T.V. news is where I'd have to look to find out what is going on in the world. Now, I can browse Twitter to find out the big things going on and be involved in social media. Recently, I found out that Tesla invested in Bitcoin, a cryptocurrency. I found this out by following the Twitter accounts of Tesla and Elon Musk.      The digital divide can really segregate students' learning potential. Students that do not have access to technology are limited to the data teachers are generally expected from students. Not only is there a digital divide among students but older teachers even have a hard time using technology to teach their students. If I were a teacher, I would have the school try to provide students with the technology needed to learn the material.     The two educational software tools I would use are Microsoft ...

ELA standard LAFS.1112.2.2.6 in my own words: To use digital resources to share writing projects to provide responses in arguments. In other words, to use resources such as online blogs or zoom calls to respond to feedback and provide new information. I do feel prepared to implement the use of technology in helping my students with feedback. I feel as if I am prepared because of growing up with technology using Microsoft word, online blogs, and zoom. These applications are fairly easy to use to help students learn. Although, I have a lot of room to grow into an even more prepared teacher with these resources.     The CPALMS resource I chose was a 9-12th grade Social Studies lesson tool called "What is an American?" I chose this because this is what I am planning on major in doing. I would use this tool because its lesson's objective is to evaluate the structure of an argument which is an important factor in social science. The use of rhetorical appeals is ...
