Blog Journal #3

     Since I was young I've seen fair-use and copyright on everything like music and movies. Copyright in my own terms would be a legal protection from having people steal that material for their own self-benefit. Fair-use is a form of copyright allowing others to use that material. If I were a teacher I would have my students source their material to the best of their abilities to prevent the illegal use of material. Copyright and fair-use are important to understand so others don't steal credit for other people's material.

    Cyberbullying is a problem that many kids these days will face due to the increase of social media. I believe an easy solution to cyberbullying is to advocate defending others and to shame cyberbullies. I also believe certain administrations should enforce cyberbullying by banning cyberbullies from platforms. In my classroom, I would punish those that cyberbullies and award those that defend the victims. Furthermore, academic dishonesty is something I would strive to be abolished in my classroom as I would take those caught underlying academic dishonesty with a complete zero on those assignments. Therefore, students can take them seriously without the fear of caught cheating because they would not cheat in my classroom.

    New skills that I have acquired in the newsletter would be being able to make an aesthetic off Microsoft word. I have learned to really use graphic art and combine it with articles to make a pleasing document for my future students. I believe I can improve my skills by simply practicing what I know today. These skills will be truly impactful to my assignment making activities. For example, I can now make a pleasing assignment to my students so they find a charm in my classroom.

 Hey Peers,     Today, I will write about surveys and how they can be beneficial to student teaching. First off, teachers need feedback to become better teachers. There is no such thing as a perfect teacher unless you're Robin Williams in dead poet society. I would use surveys to allow my students to give me feedback on how I can improve as a teacher. For grade matter, I would most likely teach social science so I'd survey my students on what areas or projects to study on. Maybe survey students on how their favorite period of history to focus on.       Microsoft Word has been the main writing software I use. Microsoft word has been the most convenient tool when it comes to writing papers. I can always rely and remain diligent on Microsoft word. For example, this program I'm using doesn't have many edit options as Word such as line spacing or lettering styles. I don't remember doing much word in elementary school, but I do in middle school. In 8th grade, I remember taking a Microsoft course with word, office, excel which I'm all certified for mastering. Then in high school, I used Microsoft word for many papers so I am very accustomed to it.     I believe the most important ISTE standard would have to be leadership. Growing up, I've seen many disobedient students simply because of a lack of leadership. Now, I'm not saying that leadership should be strict obedience and dictatorship. Blog Journal #6

Hey Peers!      Diigo seems to be a very useful learning tool with the option to highlight and discuss with peers. However, the time that I've been Diigo, it has deleted my account. I've tried multiple times to verify my account before I could recreate it again. This might have been a minor issue but it got me frustrated for a bit. Diigo itself is a good learning platform for teachers and peers to interact with each other though. I find the sticky note and highlight features very useful for the next time I have to write a paper or just want to learn!     The blogging process is nothing special in my eyes. I find the need to write about yourself seems narcissistic and pretentious in a sense, but if it appeals to others then I'm not judging on that. I do understand the need to write especially or just share things in a non-personal way.
