Blog Journal #8
Hey peers,
Like you all, I worked on making a website for our class. For starters, a new skill I learned is making a website which is very fascinating. I loved practicing to actually become a teacher as making a website can be a useful tool in teaching students. Certain things I worked on the website really appealed to me like making announcements, calendars, and resources. Calendars are a very useful tool in helping students memorize the due date. In the past, I wish my teachers had assignment calendars and things coming up. Honestly, the only con that I found was not putting in more effort as I can see a potential amazing learning resource for my students.

When working with Diigo, the bookmark features, as well as sharing remarks, are a very smart tool for teachers and students. The tool not only allows students to work with each other and share their opinion with their peers, but it also allows for teachers to work with each other. Teachers can collaboratively share with other teachers to help each other which is very important to keep teachers from making bad decisions. Individually, it has helped me make notes on certain websites and posts for my own incentive in teaching students.
Technology will continue to advance throughout time and will help students learn faster. As I grow as a teacher, technology will grow with me and I will use it to my advantage to teach my students. A lot of teachers these days did not grow up with technology. Younger people captivate technology and have adapted to it. Technology is a great learning tool and schools will too adapt to the education technology that comes with it. It is good to be updated on new technology and how it can affect your studies in learning.
Here is a website to help you keep updated on technology trends! https://www.edsurge.com/
